Thanks for visiting my page.  You may have read a little about me from some of my posts, but for those of you that are new I am a married mother of six kids.  We live in a small town in Nebraska.  My children range in age from 6 years to 19 years old.  Our girls are a busy kindergartener and a college sophomore and in between we have 4 boys.  Three of our 4 sons have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy; a genetic, fatal, progressive muscle wasting disease.

After working several years as an educational consult and in the non-profit world I began to stay home with our children.  Shortly after our sons were diagnosed with Duchenne, we made the decision that I should be home.  In that way, we feel like we can squeeze more out of everyday and enjoy our children and our family as we really have no means of knowing what the future holds us.
